This article is about students on campus at the University of Michigan who support Trump that feel like they need a safe space somewhere on campus. They feel this way because class were cancelled the day after Trump's win just for students who felt they couldn't focus. The author talked to multiple students on campus who gave their feelings and stance on the matter.
I think the article and author did well with interviewing multiple students who supported Trump and supported the idea of the safe spaces. They got a good amount of info to back up this view. A weakness in my opinion would be that the author did not get any interviews or insight from students on the opposing side. This could be an issue with writing totally fair and well balanced article. The author concludes that there is hope for safe space on campus but the university is worried that the media will take hold of the story and re bring out an uproar.
The author does support the main points presented. I think the author could have done better at making the article into more of a clear argument rather than telling a story. Overall I think the article was well written and it is definitely attention grabbing regarding the fact that it is surrounding politics in a very heated time.
